INTRODUCING ROBIN (BETTER LATE THAN NEVER)

So a while back I was sitting in a coffee shop minding my own business and waiting for some friends to show up. I was just kind of daydreaming when I heard a soft pop and on the table in front of me a box appeared:



I started to reach out for it but stopped when it started to rock a bit and a muffled voice could be heard. I could not make out the exact words but the voice seemed to be saying - "They said this was the way to do this and it would be easy to get out of this box. I beg to differ with them. It is not that easy. Wait, the lid is starting to move. Yeah!!" At that the moment to lid lifted and a figure could be seen:



I stared in fascination as the lid lifted higher:



With a final heave the lid flipped over onto the table and revealed the figure inside:



I watched as the little person in the box stood up and stepped out:



As he stood there dusting himself off a bit, I found my voice and said - "Who are you and where did you come from?"



He threw out his arms and said - "My name is Robin and I am here to be your new friend. The other Pix. . . Sorry, I meant to say my other friends told me that you needed a new friend and so here I am."



Still a bit stunned I reached out and shook his little hand. What else could I do?



Robin has been my friend since that time. I am hoping to do a few more stories with him. Here is one last pic of Robin as he kicks back and relaxes:

Two weeks ago we went camping. I thought we would either be in a motor home or camper. We were in a TENT!!!! I do not do tents! It was horrible, IMO. I could not wait to get home because we were there from Wednesday to Sunday. I thought it was chilly and the nights were awful. I did not leave the tent the whole time we were there. In fact, I did not leave the bed and covers (well, I did to eat or go to the bathroom but that was all).




If Anne takes me camping again it will have to be in a motor home or camper. If not, then I will refuse to go at all.

Anne is taking us camping. I have never been before and I am really looking forward to the adventure. I wonder what size camper we are going to have? Since it is only one person and two stuffies, I think a 20' motor home would be nice. Even a really nice popup camper would work. We will be gone until some time this weekend. I will let you know how my camping adventure went after we return.

SHOPPING - Updated Oct. 11, 2008

I went shopping last Saturday and you should see what I bought . . .
(A: Marmie.
M: Uh, yeah.
A: Marmie! Just where are your manners?
M: Oh, sorry. Yes, ma'am?
A: Who went shopping and who bought?
M: We went shopping and you bought me some cool necklaces.
A: Thank you, Marmie. You may continue your story.)
Anne and I went shopping last Saturday and Anne bought me these cool "necklaces". They are actually bracelets but for me they are necklaces. Here is a picture of me with one of my new necklaces:




I have some other really cool necklaces for parties and the like. I don't know about earrings as my ears are a little small. Besides, I don't know if I want my ears pierced.
(A thought occurs to Marmie.

M: Anne, I have a question for you.
A: Yes, Marmie, what is it?
M: Why was Billy so upset with the calculator that I gave him. Was because it was a freebie?
A: No, that is not the reason, Marmie. Think about where we got the calculator.
M: We got the calculator at Claire's because we bought all the cool girl stuff. . . . Oh, is it because it says "Claire's" on it?
A: Yes, Dear. Just give Billy a little while to get used to it. Maybe we can see if we can also remove the "Claire's".)
Yesterday we went shopping again and I have a really neato lawn chair. I am hoping to get to use it at a picnic today. Pics to follow. Toodles for now

Hello world!!!!!! My name is Marmie, Marmie Marmoset, and this is my blog. Since I am a diva, I figured I deserved a blog. I mean after all my bestest bud, Billy, has one. I live in my friend's van and keep Billy company (sometimes). I sometimes accompany my friends to a Writers Group on Saturday. Recently I went with my friends to a party at Wendy and Trygve's. This is how I looked at the party.





Billy and I spent the evening visiting with Gage. I kind of wish I had met a few more of the people at the party. Oh well, next time.




This is one of my favorite pasttimes - talking on my cell phone. I so enjoy talking and visiting with people. So, keep an eye out for more of my meanderings. Till then, "Toodles"

When we arrived at the Writer's Group last week I ran into an interesting character. His name is Wilf.



He introduced himself as "Wilf the WIT. Wilf the Wizard-In-Training." Like I said he is an interesting character. He is a really laid-back and mellow fellow. Here is a picture of us together



I look forward to seeing him again. Come to think of it - I am not sure how he arrived at Common Grounds or how he left for that matter. He just appeared and disappeared.

Marmie did not come to the Writer's Group today. She did come last week but sort of pouted the entire time she was there. She will probably be upset because when I got to the meeting Montague Von Alces_alces (Monty) was waiting for me.















We hung out outside the coffee shop for a while and then we went in.
























The rest of the gang arrived shortly after we did and I introduced Monty to Gage, Cat and Bear.












I hope Marmie will not be too upset that she missed an opportunity to meet Monty.

YEAH FOR CAMPING - Updated Sept. 20, 2008

I had such a good time camping. I really enjoyed myself. I did not get to go out much because it rained at least once a day while we were there. I did not have a place to really get dry if I had gotten wet. In spite of that I did enjoy the trip. This was my favorite spot in camp




This chair was totally comfy. It was round and padded. Then Anne added a polar fleece throw to it.

Marmie, on the other hand, did not have a good time at all. In fact, she was miserable the whole time we were there. She would hardly leave the bed at all. I even tried to persuade her to come out




All in all I had a really enjoyable time. The only problem was on the last day. As Anne was packing stuff up it started to drizzle. Marmie and I were in the round chair and took refuge under her hat. You can see Marmie's tail to the left of the hat. Course you can see me to the right.




I would really like to go camping again. Anne says maybe in a couple of years we can do this again. I can hardly wait.

I can hardly wait for the camping trip. We will be up in the mountains for a few days and will be back some time this weekend. When I asked Anne how we were camping I was thrilled to find out it is in a tent. I think that is so neat. I will let you know how it went when we return. Till then have a good one.

Since my friend, Anne, is no longer dealing with problems at the house I thought I better get caught up. I have a few pics to post so here goes.

Here is a pic of Gage and myself at a Writer's group from a couple of weeks ago.



Here I am with my really cool shades.



This pic is my friend Sylvester and Tangeriane. Sylvester is my friend who was visiting with me last weekend. Tangeriane had come to the Writer's group with Mysti. They seem to have hit it off and spent a bit of time chatting. I'm glad Sylvester had a good time.



After Writer's group we went on a picnic. Sylvester and I enjoyed ourselves by just chillin' at the park.



A couple of bummers happened last Saturday. One of them happened at the picnic when Marmie became a guacamole hog and would not share. Anne did come to our rescue and made Marmie share. The other was that the batteries died in the camera and so we could not take any more pics. After the picnic we went for a visit at Gage's house and had a very enjoyable time.



This should bring things up to date. I decided to just kick back at home today, so no further travels. Since the batteries are now recharged in the camera, check back later and see what happens next.

Sorry it has taken so long to bring this up to date. My friend has been busy trying to comply with the code violations, work, feed horses, etc. We went to Wendy and Trygve's party. Marmie and I really enjoyed the party. We spent the whole evening visiting with Gage and checking out his computer.



Loved your room Gage! Hope we can go to another party some time so I can wear my tie again. Marmie even got dressed up. Doesn't Marmie look pretty?



We have not done much travel this week because of the problems with the zoning violations at my friend's house. It is getting taken care of, a little at a time. The storage shed that had been ordered earlier this month was finally delivered to Home Depot. It was picked up Wednesday and is now being put together. Once all this is done maybe we can do a little traveling and visiting. Keep an eye out for updates.

Hello. My name is Billy BrownBear. Actually, it is William but I prefer Billy. I live in my person's van and keep them company as they drive around the metro area. When my person is not in the van my friend Marmie the Marmoset keeps me company (next to me in the picture). I also have my rubber duckie to keep me company.
